GoCSIL

Partner: Algorand
Team: An Cao (Lead), Bowen Duanmu (Scribe), Kyrie Cai, Ning Xia, Xichen He

Mentor(s): Piergiacomo Palmisani, Benjamin Guidarelli
Project Overview: We introduce the idea of Next Generation Digital Learning Environment (NGDLE). It will not itself be a single application like current Learning Management Systems (LMS), rather it will be an ecosystem of learning.

Fat Stacks

Partner: Allthenticate
Team: Adam Yu (Lead), Arjun Singh, Hunter Massey (Scribe), Olivia Gillam, Simon Yu

Mentor(s): Bernie Conrad
Project Overview: We will create a mobile authentication application that implements the FIDO protocol to communicate with WebAuthn Browser APIs. Using this mobile app, users will be able to quickly register new accounts and authorize login attempts with supported websites and Web3 applications. By eliminating the need forpasswords, the risk of phishing attacks is eliminated.

FortaKnight

Partner: Forta Network
Team: Nicholas Brown (Lead), Khalid Mihlar (Scribe), Alejandro Rojas Rodriguez, Andy Wu, John Lin

Mentor(s): Christian Seifert, Mariko Wakabayashi
Project Overview: Wtih this project we develop a detection bot that can detect attacker smart contracts several blocks before the exploitation and signal relevant hosts. The bot should be able to both dynamically and statically decompile attacker smart contracts. Ultimately, we hope to develop an effective and easily deployable detection bot to protect Web 3.0 blockchains.

Partner: NavSea
Team: Fluellen Arman Umali (Lead), Yvonne Liu(Scribe), Rahul Dharmaji, Daniel Eskander, Jason Em

Mentor(s): Alan Jaeger
Project Overview: We will help solve the remote maintenance problem. Specifiaclly, to eliminate the need for transportation of specialized individuals to naval ships for maintenance. Our intent is to save time and resources by allowing specialists to work remotely while still following maintenance procedures. Several challenges are evident, including the navigation of the complex environment of a navy ship, limited bandwidth in remote locales, and the necessity for secure, encrypted communications. Our expected goal is meant to demonstrate how the HoloLens and other AR/VR technologies can be implemented to aid remote maintenance.

Team: Erin Ambriz (Lead), Jason Dunne (Scribe), Isaiah Gama, Robert Gee, Mauricio Muñoz Valtierra

Mentor(s): Justin Pearson, Wade Varesio, David Weitz, Graham Preston
Project Overview: We will develope a mobile app and service that can be used to authenticate yourself and create/login to accounts using facial recognition. We plan to have the app be a central point for users to manage their data and services they are registered with using our product, as well as managing general account settings.

Partner: Artera
Team: Garrett Peake (Lead), Martin Cabello (Scribe), Mikey Curtis, Nicholas Wenstad, Xianqi Wang

Mentor(s): Anav Sanghvi, Brianna Koch, Gillian Myers, Anh Vu Nguyen
Project Overview: Our target is to allow users to track and gamify their physical therapy (PT), receive calculated outcome predictions, and provide useful insights on exercises that would normally all only be possible with a physician. The MVP for this would be a tracking app that does basic linear regression to provide outcomes as well as a simple gamification through a points system. Further upgrades would include AI search enabling user cohorting to provide realistic best-case scenarios as well as a more complex game that the user might care to work for.

Team: Sahil Naik (Lead), Rutvik Jha (Scribe), Robin Wang, Skylar Winig, Jake Yim

Mentor(s): Jacqui Mai, Kobe Shavolian, Justin Harris, Justin Pearson, and Tyler Coffman
Project Overview: Currently, there are no insights or gains being made with the accounting data collected by Appfolio Property Managers across their portfolio of propertiesbesides backlogging. We aim to create an ML model to forecast property management expenditures and income. This will give them insight into which areas of their business to focus on. We plan to create a dashboard to present our predictions in a clear and concise manner using dynamic graphs and charts.

Project Overview: With this project we create a LSTM neural network to predict wildfire occurrences using time series of weather variables, as well as other data including land cover types and topography. Ideally, a wildfire prediction model will be developed for some states, and then tested on other areas, resulting in a strong, generalized model.

Mentor(s): Anav Sanghvi, Brianna Koch, and Gillian Myers
Project Overview: We will create an app that by reducing anxiety levels of patients will hopefully serve to better mental health. By giving a biometric analysis, the patient can be sure that the activities to calm them down is also making them biologically less anxious, or indicate whether they need immediate medical attention. Furthermore, through this app, patients can visualize their improvement over several days as their biometric data and self-reflections will be recorded.
